No, no, no. Way too cold!

RevRuby and I seem to be of similar mind on these things. 'cept I don't use runes. I prefer tarot. Samhain is a much bigger deal for me. I'm a solitaire as well in a tiny town, so there isn't really anyone else around to celebrate with if I were so inclined (except for hubby).

Oh, and Silver RavenWolf is a woman....while there is some good in her books, they tend to be a little too fluffy for me.

I'm like you two (RevRuby and Garnet FalconDance). Practicing solitary in a (basically) small town. However, I have found a web site where you can find others in your area. I'll send the web site address in PM.

I never have really celebrated in a big way, but I usually stand out in the yard for a few minutes and star gaze, while the cats sit inside and wait for me to give them more food. LOL!

Here is a Wiccan Winter Soltice overview courtesey of Google:

http://www.paganspath.com/magik/wicca/yule.htm

I have participated in other coven Sabbats, but The soltice I tend to observe alone. Few were as elaborate as described above. expirience is everything.

Yule is the 12-day season that begins on the Soltice. Yule-time is the season of gift giving and of honoring the home and hearth to name a few symbols. I love Yule-time!
