I remember reading that you were working on a script for Odin. I was hoping to persuade nonbelievers buy haveing them fight against a scripted mage that was set to destroy any single target. Do you think this could be done?

Weimer's mods already do a pretty good job at that ... new lich in the docks comes to mind ...
A script for a sorcerer, using Dundee's tactics *cough* huge cheese sometimes *cough* would be fun though

I've not gotten strong enough for that fight yet, but I don't think it is quite the same. If you didn't have to worry about mages and only had a single target the script could change. I realize that a script can't adjust as well as a person but I would bet one could be created. Another method would be online duals.

An online battle between two equal sorcerers would result in a fancy game of chess. It would be a sight to behold. Nevertheless, the improved mages mod does come close to the above setting. Having a single target is considerably easier then multiple ones. But consider this: mages summon which results in multiple targets, so you're script *has* to be adaptive (ignoring a planetar or even a skel is hazardous).

No AI-Scripted Mage can hope to defeat a well prepared Human Player unless unfair advantages were given to the AI Mage. Played well, a Mage/Sorcerer is a force to be reckoned with, and not to be taken lightly, but it is not invulnerable.
There ARE ways to defeat a Mage/Sorcerer. It is just that it takes very extreme circumstances or specific situations or very unusual circumstances. |

Player's mage could obviously defeat computer's mage. Unless the player can't use the mage properly.
