Morrowind: Do bonuses stack?

If I use two different spells/items/abilities/etc. to give my character the same benefits, will the bonuses stack or will the game simply ignore the lower one? I know skill bonuses and attribute bonuses stack, but would spell effects like Reflect or Resist Fire do the same?

Yes, two or more of the same effects will stack as long as they are cast/used from different spells or items. For example, casting two different spells with a Resist Fire 20pts effect will give you 40pts for the duration. The spells can be the same in every way.

I've heard that in the case of spells it has to be different duration/name otherwise it treats it like reapplying the same spell. Potions however stack indefinately. Which is why it's pure gold to make int boosters to make more int boosters then restoratives and whatnot that can blow your mind.

So far I stopped boosting my int at around 1000. You end up with a healing potion that'll keep your health maxed no matter what for about 5-10 minutes.
