I was thinking of playing this combination Being half orc. I plan on starting out as a barbarian and than , after a couple levels, multiclass to druid. Is the druid any good? Is does the barbarian get any spectacular skills after lvl. 5? Otherwise I wold get a 15/5 druid / barbarian. Is it fine playing as a half orc?

any answers are welcome!

Sounds like a reasonable plan. Remember to get your wisdom to at least 14 or 15 when you start. You need 19 wisdom to be able to cast 9th level spells. You'll get 5 extra points to play with as you level up (one every 4 levels), but the last one doesn't come until level 20. I haven't played much with a barbarian, but they get several good abilities in the early levels. Let us know how it goes.

15/5 druid/barbarian? You'll need a lot more XPs to go there, your favored class being barbarian, not druid.

Barbarian get damage reduction at lvl 11, that's all. And with the current plan, you'll be missing lvl 16 druid ability: elemental shape. but since you'll only get it at lvl 20 (with a 16/4 char), it's not that a big deal.

Actually, since you are only going to 15th level in druid, you only need to get an 18 wisdom (eventually, down the line). Why? A 15th level druid just barely gets an 8th level spell, and no 9th level. You need a wisdom of 10 + spell level to cast a spell. Thus, wisdom needs to be 10 + 8 = 18 to cast that spell. But that is not until you get to 15th level as druid. I would put your wisdom at 14 in the beginning, put the other points into your fighting stats, and put every single point you gain (at 4th, 8th, 12th, and 16th level) into wisdom. This will make you stronger in combat in the beginning, but you will grow into a better druid as you go on (i.e. as your wisdom goes up).

By the way, I do like the character concept (can you say shaman?).

well i personaly favor the thief as 2nd class

not for the features, but for the skills

i found it rounds up the character far more,
especialy the very! powerful skill: "use magic devices" comes in handy

ever seen a barbarian with base strength 16 / raging and using monk's gauntlets and he is able to cast spells (scroll based) - i like those restoration scrolls

and i think the druid develops his true powers in the very last levels only

just my two cents

Anyone can use reatoration scrolls - my pure fighter has used one - but a thief can also use 'mage'-scrolls
