I finished up the Planar Sphere, except for the Knights. Is there anything I can do to free them?

As Helspanth said, only if you are a Mage or Sorcerer. Cause their stronghold is the Planar Sphere, so the quest with Solamnic Knights are a part of that.

There's a second option as well, which I would suggest if you are not a mage or sorc. Think of it as finding them a second career similar to their first.
