In my key words I have the name DS Ball there. No one seems to respond to it, and I don't recall how it got there. Who or what is DS Ball?

Perhaps it's referencing the fake Astral Dominae you get from the Dark Savant... it looks like a ball... DS Ball.
Just a guess

It's the silver tracking ball in Bobo's cage. I think there's someone in Trynton who responds to that.

I've also seen this on my key word list. It appeared during my first trip into Arnika after I destroyed the guards behind the Dark Savant's tower. So far I haven't seen a response to it, but I haven't progressed very far into the game yet.

quote: I remember seeing it come up then too. I always assumed it was talking about the Savant Orb that gave you the warning and just deleted it from my list of words. Dale - Every time an NPC talks to you, his name comes up in green on your screen so it's logical to assume that is what happened in this case too.

Having just done this part last night -- I'm almost positive I got the DS Ball in my key list immediately after triggering the taped replay in the spaceport…… it was there that the reference to Bobo and the fiery ball were made…….

I've been wondering that myself. Except that it's in my list of people (I separate them into people, items, places etc), so is DS Ball a person? Someone at the spaceport maybe?

Well, the only thing at the spaceport is the Mook ship, and somehow I don't think that counts as a person My guess is that it's just a minor bug/typo in the game to have it on the person list.
P.S. I think you just have to enter the spaceport for this to appear on the list. These days, I don't bother going up there for anything, and I still have the entry. |

I may have misunderstood.. I'm extremely tired, and I don't have the energy to read through the entire thread, but it seems you don't know where you got your DS ball?..
It's in the large structure next to the mook ship.. You take the elevator up, and on the right hand side, the ball will be sticking out of a machine.. you take it out, get Vi and Myles, and you have a game of fottie out in the arnika-trynton road.. Beware of savant's henchman, they have a tendency to pick up the ball and run away with it, rendering you (foot)ball-less, and with nothing to do. |
