I agree with the dual weilding.. I found it pretty lame unless the weaon in your off hand gives you a bonus of some kind. But the Dex is for Bows. My fighter had a dex of 18 and ripped people apart with the bow. Even better than my theif somehow.

High dext is simply because since i minimized Charisma and Intelligence, I had plenty of points to spare, besides there might be good armors that give max +5 dext bonus. |

its your bonus on to hit and wound rolls, also for amrour thats has lets say +4 ac and its max dex bonus is say +6 that means you can only get a 20 ac with just that armour.

Oh... why 20 ac and not 10? and so it doesn't mean that it will limit my rogue's dexterity?

"its your bonus on to hit and wound rolls, also for amrour thats has lets say +4 ac and its max dex bonus is say +6 that means you can only get a 20 ac with just that armour."
Dex doesn't modify damage rolls, and only modifies "to hit" rolls for missile weapons, and for short blades if you have taken the weapon finesse feat. "and so it doesn't mean that it will limit my rogue's dexterity?" The 20 ac is from getting 10 as a base AC, with no armor or modifiers; then add +4 from the armor itself; and +6 from Dex (assuming the character has at least a 22 Dex), to give 20. And it doesn't limit the rogue's dex in any way other than as a bous to AC. If the rogue had a 24 Dex, he couldn't get the full +7 to AC with that armor, +6 is the highest.

There is one armor in the game that allows for unlimited dex bonus (and even mages can wear this with no penalty to spellcasting).
Unfortunately, you don't find this until near the end of the game, when you're in the Severed Hand. Generally, the armor in IWD2 is fairly limited, to around 10-12 AC with dex bonus. |
