I'm not really sure how it was done, but in my home server, we have water tiles that you can walk in, to simulate swamps, all of this over tilesets you can walk on. There are also places where you can't walk that are also "covered" by water. While there is water that you can add in a tileset that won't let you walk there, this is not the same thing.

At least now I know it can be done. Just thought of some other areas (mainly on the Haunted Isles) where it would be nice to add that. And I was reminded recently that on Level 8 in the Underground Forest there are small ponds that you can "wade" through. Wouldn't mind seeing that level expanded to encompass a few underground lakes, the same with Level 12. Sad thing that one cannot implement boat travel (as in continuous graphical representation thereof) so one could have ship to ship battles with the undead or the really needing to be slain.
Pity I have no patience with myself, or I'd start seeing how one could pull that off using the toolset. Was never much into the graphical side of things, sadly.

I think the ship battles would be really hard to pull off, but not impossible. The thing is, you can make a creature look like an object, but it would be hard to make the then objected creature have other creatures/pcs on it.
