How does it sound? is it good? If I'm missing something with the characters please let me know. I am starting all over again, since I started with one character and I'm where I have to kill the orge and not able too (the cave with the orcs)at the beginning of the game. You know this game is not soooo easy. Thanks again.

1). I would use instead...
fighter
druid
ranger
ranger

2). The ogre and his cohorts can be defeated by one character, as long as it is a fighter or a paladin or has a bow. Otherwise, unlikely

I would consider using a multi-class for your Thief. Either Mage-Thief for some extra spells, or Fighter-Thief for the two star weapon proficencies. Eventually your thief's thieving abilities will max out anyway, so might as well have some extra bonuses via a multi-class since there is really no advantage to using a pure Thief. Otherwise, looks like a solid party. Have fun!

Caro that's the same party I beat the game with. It's a very good party.

Rangers are probably the least useful characters in the game.
A pure Fighter would be better, or a multi-class, I would recomend Fighter/Druid for a good multi-class.

I do not know about that. My ranger was dealing some serious pain. At times I would just throw some area spells and have him pick them off.. he did so quickly.

Out of all them the most fun I had was with the Ranger and the druid. You should for sure try a druid

Any party of 4 to 6 with a good balance of clerical skills, magic spells, fighters and thieving abilities should be able to get through the game without any trouble.

My preference was for a group of 4 with this mix:

1/2 elven Fighter/Druid
1/2 elven Ranger/Cleric
Elven Fighter/Mage/Thief
Bard

But I also used a 6 person group of this make-up

Paladin
Dwarf Fighter
Ranger
Mage
Ranger/Cleric (human - dualled to cleric at level 3)
Gnome Illusionist/Thief

Just keep the party balanced .....
