OK ... this one caught me completely by surprise. I entered the temple of Ilmater and battled through the skeletons, mummy and zombie lords and beat up the idol until all the bad guys died and the priests were released from their curse. I used some potions of magic blocking to keep from getting stuck with any of the curses from the mummies. After the battle was over, I found that only two of my characters could move in a normal fashion. One was suddenly encumbered and three were completely unable to move. There was no indication of any kind of curse or disease on the character screens, but I just can't get them to move. Even dumping all their items from inventory doesn't help. What's up with that? How can I get everyone back to normal and move on?
I even went back to a previous save, and only took my main character into battle, leaving the remaining characters near the entrance. Same results. I'm baffled on this one. |

Oh ... pardon me ... I should have mentioned that this is in chapter 6 in the process of gathering the remaining badges.

This has happened to me...it's usually the result of a symbol of hopelessness. Just wait a while and it should go away.

I've now left the game active for about an hour while still in the Temple. There has been no change in most of my character's ability to move. I had my mage cast Strength on herself and now she moves slowly. But the characters are still either "Encumbered: Slowed", or "Encumbered: Cannot Move." I can't get them to a place where they can even rest. I even tried killing one of the effected characters and then resurrecting them. The resurrected character was still Encumbered in some form or another. This is getting a bit frustrating now ... grrrrrr. Aren't there any potions of Resto0ration I can find somewhere that might remove these kinds of effects? Or do I need to somehow get my party to be able to rest to remove the effects?

Got a screenshot to show us the ailment? A check on your characters' STR values would help too, as would a check of your characters' Inventory.
Cheers. |

I had a similar problem and basically had to do it all again as nothing helped, sorry to say, and to top it all off the second time I ran thru it one of my characters "got lost" off screen and I could not get them back so had to the whole thing for a third time.
