Saz,
Re: website. Fortunately my experience hosting a W&W hintsite has been quite positive. Though I've had a couple of annoyances most of my visitors have been supportive by providing encouragement, and, in some cases, hints and tips for inclusion. I've tried to respond to all of my e-mail on the game and, when I see more than a couple of the same question or have made a mistake, add that info to the site or modify the walkthrough/hint (after playtesting, of course - lots of playtesting I can understand that with a more "widespread" game that impatient or less mature individuals might try MY patience and understanding. I'm tempted to expand my site with Morrowind and Wiz8 when they're released. What do you think? Will the audience be similar? Rick |

Rick, if you've had that experience so far, I can imagine that you will continue to have it with Wiz 8 and Morrowind. However, as Ziroc said, the playing audience for Wizards & Warriors is very mature compared to other games like BG2. Daggerfall attracted a lot of "teens" at the time and that's what was driving me crazy. Things posted in my guestbook like "your walkthrough suks, your site suks, you suk, buh-bye" (just about like that and about as intelligent), ranging from that to the "My game's corrupted, fix it!" and without asking if they could, sending me an unzipped game file which overloaded my modem (at the time (1996) all I had was a 14.4 K modem, remember those? ) and clogged up my e-mail. After several instances of the above, I figured that I'd had enough of all that and took down the site. There were a lot of people who were very upset about that, and I allowed them to host my walkthrough on their sites. I think copies of that walkthrough are probably still floating around the 'Web...if you see one attributable to "Barbarian", that's mine! (that was my handle back in 1996).
I think the Internet has changed a bit since then, and that people are a bit more intelligent about the way they act. Nothing surprises me, though! I've learned a lot, too...mainly that if I ever get it in my head to do another one of those sites, I'm going to put disclaimers up all OVER the place. It sounds as if you have things well in hand, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Cheers! -Sazerac |

There's a utility called "Mo'slo" out on the Internet that you can download and use...that may be the problem with the game is that the system is running too fast for the game. Hope this helps! -Sazerac |

No, it just won't install... It's probably a Windows Me vs Dos problem... we'll see.
