Okay my first time playing ID2 and i wanna solo. I have played BG2 Solo sorc before but do you think i can solo a sorc through ID2 ? I dont wanna start a game if it screws me up in the later chapters. Thanx Tom-Slayer

Sure, with a sorc you'd be roxing, but you should consider a multiclass with a fighter type. Sorcerers don't get as many feats as a wizard and their casting levels are one behind(a fifth level wiz casts 3rd level spells and only at sixt level sorc does he get 3rd level) but he gets butloads of spells. Be carefull about spell choice and if you're not going to multi then you should consider some melee lifesaving spells like Stoneskin and varios armor etc. Good luck!

Personally, i wouldn't solo first time through, but go for it. It may be a bit hard later on, but sorcs are good.

I'd suggest going through once with a full party of different classes. IWD2 runs under 3rd edition rules, which are quite different from what you're used to in BG and earlier games. This will give you a good idea of what the different professions can do, and how the new rules work.
After that, you should be able to make a good choice for solo. Many have done the game solo, so it's certainly possible. However, just about everyone went through with a party first. |

Well i have done that bridge thing and im back ready 4 the fortress. Im lvl 10 i think and i have the following spells, Magic missle, Chromatic orb,Colour spray,burning hands,that stupid ice one (but good on fire elementals?), Aganazars scorcher,mirror image,that eletric loop,lance of disruption,fireball,flame arrow, Stoneskin,spider spawn , web , that raise undead one and maybe some others i forgot, sorry about spelling mistakes im rushing cus i wanna keep playing. are there any good staffs out there or should i just do longsword/shield ?
