Could someone send me the file Setup.exe from Disc 1 of Icewind Dale 2. I think my cd has become corrupt (%*&@)as the setup wiz icon blanks out and fails to autorun. It's only 55kb as far as I know, Cyric37@hotmail.com. Thanks guys.

If the files on the disk is somehow corrupt..... you should take the game back to the store, and exchange it.

Well it installed fine the first time round (I did have one or two probelms before getting it to work) and i've played it all the way through. It was only when I went to reinstall the game that the CD began to stutter and the autorun sequence wouldn't work even when I went into the Cd to start it manually. It's weird because just a bit ago I brought the game down to a friends place and tried installing it on his PC and it worked perfectly fine! I dunno whethere it's a dodgy cd or my cd drive itself.(any idea people?)
But yes if someone could send me that one file i'll give it a try that way and copy the rest of the cd contents to my hard drive, installing from there.

Sounds more like the CD drive than the CD. I could be wrong though . . .
I'll be a pal and send that file to you.

Thank you mate. And yeah I suspect its the cd drive....i have a cd burner so I really have two Cd drives. If I remember correctly I installed IWD2 with my burner drive originally but I can't do that now as I haven't the software set up since I reformatted my computer. Perhaps my master cd-drive is just getting old...or is this a sign of it needing cleaning? This hasn't happend to me before so I dunno - other CD's inclusing BG2 will run fine on it.

You don't any special driver for your cd burner. It can always read cds.

Oh ok. No thats not what I meant. My extra drive isn't set up right that's all. I just tried copying the files to my hard drive but the even that is giving me problems with the cd stuttering in the drive itself. Blah i'll wait till I sort out my other one and install it from there.
