Some moronic junkie lowlife broke into my 2 months old Alfa while it was parked in my (supposedly) security garage last night.

He/she/it totally unscrewed and disassembled the boot lock to get into the boot (there was nothing of value in there anyway) and then he ferked up the drivers side lock to get into the car, then he ripped away the centre console on the dashboard to try and get at the stereo (it's a piece of shit Clarion anyway why would anyone want it?) but wasn't able to get it. So in effect he ended up stealing nothing anyway and left me with a $500 repair bill (it's a lease car but I have to pay the excess of $500) and the inconvenience of being without my GTV for at least a week.

Here's some photos of the damage he caused:

Boot lock damage

Dash centre console damage

He broke into a few other cars in the garage, incidentally - I found my detachable stereo face in someone else's boot.

My leasing company offered me a hire car for $55 a DAY (fuk dat!) so I'm instead using my sister's MGF convertible while I'm waiting for it to get fixed.

The evil and dishonesty in this world is truly amazing.

That totally sux, Memnoch. It feels like you've been violated - been there before.

Those definitely weren't professionals though. Professionals don't cause THAT much damage.

Two friends of mine (a couple) had their car broken in as well, but the junkie(s) didn't steal much, but also made damage and the next day when my friends went to their car they found needles. Not a pretty sight

Did you park it in Coogee by any chance. That's where mine was when it got broken into... Lost two sound modules then. Plus a host of CDs. Bastards. I opened the studio door and he scurried away like a rat. Scum.
