[HotU]...Newbish Questions, Spoiler?

1.) I made a new character that is a 7/1/7, Ftr/Sorc/RDD, and sometimes I can't summon my familiar. Also, I'm not able to cast any spells. I know about armor impeding* spell casting/ spell failure, but when all of the sudden I could cast my first level and cantrip spells i was suprised. Why can't I sometimes summon my familiar and why can i sometimes not use spells. If someone could make sense of what i just rambled out and get back to me I'd appreciate it.

2.) Do dragon wings o anything except look super awesome?

3.)How do i drag a feat to my quick slot bar at the bottom of my screen? Because I wanted to change my familiar's position on the quick slot area, and then i wanted to put my dragon's breath onto the bar also.


::edit:: 1.) I'm proficient with longsword, whip and have the two focused. I use a shield also, could that mess things up?

Do you rest to refresh your spells? After resting you should all get them back. After leveling up all the new spells are not yet usable so you have to rest first.

Nope. (yesterday I got Tome&Blood and in p&p large creatures can fly with them)

click on it and keep the mouse button down. Then move it to the quickslot you want it in and release the button

No, the proficiency is to see if you can use a weapon. The focus gives you either a bonus on damage or on attack rolls (not sure which one). Shields don't interfere with either of them.

On the feat thing however.. I can't drag the feat into a quick slot place
I tried clicking and holding and draggin but to no avail*. If there another way to puta feat into a quick slot I'd be thankful to anyone that tells me.

i can't do it that way either.
only thing that works for me is to choose the slot i want, and r/click it and choose off the radial menu the feat i want there.

Yeah What Vesselle said, just right clock on the slot and you get your radial menu, find the action you want to bind and viola! Quick Item. My bard had all her spells and instruments bound to slots.

But now... I can't sumon my familiar...
Theres the little sub letetr 1 to signify that ( I think) my summoning spell for him is ready, but the familiar picture is also faded... and it won't let me summon him Any ideas as to why it won't work? Thanks in advance [img]smile.gif[/img]

You can only summon your familiar oncer per day. Try sleeping a full resting period and see if the summon in your quick slot is NOT/faded. The same thing goes for new spells when you get them at level-up. You will have to sleep a full resting period in order to cast those new spells.
