I prefer bg2 by far, diablo2 gets really boring after a while.
Diablo2 does have great movies and graphics(even in 640*480 wich is the highest resolution for that game)but it lacks a good storyline.
It is however, a lot of fun to play it multiplayer.

BG2 easily beats Diablo 2, it has far more storyline, and less hack 'n' slash, Diablo 2 is not an RPG, it is a hack 'n' slash game with stats, I still liked PS : T better than BG2, even though it lacks a bit of replayability, and of course, some good 2nd edition PnP is far better than anything on your computer, do any of you guys still play 2nd edition instead of 3rd edition? Because in my opinion 3rd ed sucks.

Single player bg2 multiplayer diablo 2. Diablo 2 had a way better ending then bg2 even though they both were cheap ways to promote their expansion pack diablo 2 did it better.

Well I like both games alot. For more of the RPG side, I prefer BG2 by far, the storyline and so on is unbeatable by D2, but D2 is hell of adictive and real fun to play too. To compare both games are wrong, Diablo is fantasy action at it´s best and BG2 is one of the best CRPGs..

I like to waste alot of time on both!

Personally, I like them both. Diablo2 is great when you're in the mood to just kick back and kick the ever-living-s$@t out of things for awhile. BG2 is great when you want to put a little more effort and thinking in to a game. Side note....personal fav of recent games is No One Lives Forever....
