Firewalking is no great psychic feat. An old shaman's trick meant to impress the masses. A good coat of depleted ashes (which are very poor conductors of heat) is the trick. How efficiently a given material conducts heat to your skin is very important. Liquids will burn you at temperatures that gasses won't for example. The only better insulator than a light gas is a complete vacuum. There's a couple guys who do tricks with molten lead (800F). They stick thier hands in it for a split second and come out unburned! How? They dip their hands in water first. When they stick their hand in the vat, the water instantly turns to steam. Now a thin coat of gas surrounds their hand, insulating them from the molten lead for a split second. When they yank their hand out, the steam dissipates and doesn't burn them either. Viola! Something else to impress the natives with!

I have video evidence of Big Foot. My mum was taping my 9th Birthday party, and as the camera swings, you can glimpse a beast blowing out the candles.

sorry but nothing in the world can possibly be based on my imagination, there are too many limitations and not enough scantly-dressed and large breasted cat women running around clawing zombei's eyes out with rich Necromancers running industires that have corrupt means of deporting and importing while also reanimating human flesh that works out of 900 mile high buildings with little space stations connected around them...
as for the Gian Squid Phenomena... YES I think there are Giant Squid! but are they monsters? Well depends on your defenition, invertebrate Animals, YES, but Monster Giant Squid? naah they'd eat ya' alive if they had a chance tho...

By 'Giant Squid Monsters' I mean that by the old sailor stories where whole ships would be eaten by giant squid, lol.
It looks like it is split evenly between believing in bigfoot and not believing. 50-50. Has anyone here ever seen one? Hm.... [ 06-29-2002, 12:33 PM: Message edited by: Willard ]
