If you want to hear some great game music, try playing Homeworld or Outcast.

I'm hearing ya Megabot! I'll never forget the first time I installed Thief: The Dark Project and had that opening music blow me away! It is a crying shame Looking Glass Studios folded. Thief is still fresher than the majority of stuff being put out today.

Also must add that the music to Icewind Dale is at the top of my list. Very moving at times. Well crafted.

I'm currently playing the Harkonnen campaign (muahahahahahaaaaaa) in Emperor:Battle for Dune and I must say that I'm very impressed with the tunes. Each House has it's own playlist of music, and the Harkonnen songs are definately my favourites. It's basically just well-rounded industrial metal. Really puts you in the mood to crush Atreides troopers with your tanks

Harkonnen are eee-vil! I used to play them all the time, but then I watched the movie "Dune" and since that time I've only played Atreides (and Ordos a couple of times)

The movie sucked, watch the Sci fi channel mini-series (on DVD) for a better adaptation of the books
And yes the Harkonnen are deliciously evil...
