You're welcome, Lionheart. The correct word, BTW, is "arbitrage". Check www.dictionary.com for details.

edited: corrected link. sorry!

I do like to make dragon arrows by fletching them...
But no! I want to earn my money!

Did you know that you don't have any money problems in the game if you want so!

Just when Gareth finish his talking in the beginning of Valeia, pool all gold and enter into Armory.

you have total 1200G. ( if you start with 6 character ). Join into warriors guild, ( 500 G ) buy +1 willow arrow ( 300G ) and you have 400G to drink in Tavern...

When your last pint is nearly half empty or half full, take your warriors guild member back into armory and sell that +1 arrow back to stupid Smitty ( you get something like 850G profit, don't remember... ) and buy another one...

Now you should have 550G to drink in Tavern, and Hey! you must hurry! your friends has almost finished their last ones....

So keep it going as long as your liver can take it....

Then head back to Armory, sell your arrow, buy it back, until you have as much money you think you can spend in Gaeal Serran. Then head out of Valeia

Well as you see I don't like that kind of playing. I want to earn my money by killing evil creatures!

Now I didn't use any 'cheatings', and my game is running quite well.
So forget those fletchery things and such!

The existence of an arbitrage opportunity is probably an oversight in the game. In the real world, the laws of supply and demand tend to close up arbitrage opportunities rather quickly. If they applied in the Gael Serran, you might be able to arbitrage a few arrows, but not tens of thousands. I can see that some might consider arbitrage to be an unfair advantage and might not want to use it.

As for fletchery, however, I don't consider that to be a cheat of any kind. The game was designed to let you make arrows; that's what the skill is for. The fact that you can make magic arrows is just fine, and the fact that people are willing to pay nicely for them is also fine. I don't consider fletchery to be anything other than an integral part of the game, available for re-use.

Now, buying and selling arrows +1 to fuel your drinking habit... about that, Olli, we probably ought to talk

Well... I'm from Finland and we are used to drink sometimes as long at we pass out

I know selling arrows aren't cheating and I like to make some at my own, but
I don't want to use that arbitrage advance at early game.

It's just amazing that you can buy some supplies at the armory and sell them back at the higher cost.

I just say that mayby that wasn't purpose for game. That it wasn't planned to be such huge advance, but well, I don't judge you

But be careful! I think it will spoil the game if you have best weapons and armors in the early game.

I've noticed, that if you make your game too easy, it looses it attraction to it.

That's what started Missy off on her adventures -- starting as a solo warrior, with no spells at all. As I think, though, a harder start might be a solo rogue -- no guilds until you can live long enough to get to Ishad N'ha. That will be more than a slight challenge...

And I agree -- if the game's too easy, it loses a lot. That is what made Lady Tigra, my solo zenmaster, rather boring -- it wasn't until the salads that she got to deal with something that might actually kill her. Okay, maybe Scabban's four apprentices too... nah. They were easy.

I usually beat Scabban's servants before entering into crypt.
I get enought levels, by killing those Jubda Magda knolls and do other guild missions until I learn Flamestrike.

Scabban's Servants are easy meat for that spell! Or Meteor... Then I have enough stenght to walk trought the crypt without any resistance...

My newest game is in position where I can leave one save game, and if I want, play the game throught without training my men for any elite role. ( now talking about paladin,ranger,warlock... )

Then I might take solo character! It's too hard for me now to do that.

But if you read my other post, I want to have Vampire and Boogre at my party and play with them the rest of the game...

But until then... It's so much you can do with this game and I love it!

it's true though, playing a solo character is quite challenging, especially a rogue solo character...........
