In Collasium - while there are a few places to breathe, most of it is under water - equip both a mask and a breather - you will still need the occasional breath of air spell to make things easier.

As Davros said, there are quite a few places in Collasium where you can breathe {keep looking up at the ceilings to find them}. I found that as long as I had the underwater helm AND used the shell as a tank I had no need whatsoever to use the Breath of Air spell, I cant remember where I got it, but one of the artifacts in the game gives you IRON LUNG when invoked.
