Hej everybody!

I inported my 'Dryad' PC from BG 1

Its an 'Elf' but he is supposed to be a dryad, because I would be fun to play one...He's petty strong, and with the help of my BG1 keeper(not much cheating...But I have to say he can be an power house in some situations)

any way...Maybe I need to modify the char a bit...so I need some help
Min Max stads Dryad
Str : 6-14
Con : 6-10
Dex : 16-19
Int : 10-18
Wis : 14-18
Cha : 17-19

He is a Avenger Druid(changced whe inported to BG2)

So I rolled for 5 minutes, and yay! nice stads

Str : 9
Con : 9
Dex : 19
Int : 15
Wis : 18
Chr : 17

Now, after finishing Bg1, the stads where :

Str : 9(other chars could use that book better)
Con : 10
Dex : 21
Int : 15 ( ditto as str)
Wis : 20
Chr : 18

Well, ins't that godly!

The added abilities are :
Diminesion Door 2x(only useble in forest)(so I dont teleport anywhere else)
Summon Spirit Animal 1x(well, I think Dryads can call animals)
Charm Animal or mamal 3x(well, dryad can charm beings)
resistances : 20 lightning(plant like) 30 piercing(plant like)20 acid(plant like)10% Magic(well, I think it fits, only I can't explane why..)

Can I add negative resistances for slashing, cold, fire and such?)
Did I a good job, or did I screw up my idea?

Edit : Spelling,

His skin and hair are both green

Hmm. Interesting. Seems OK, but wont the dryads inability to go far from their tree hinder your progress through the game? Or am I completely mixing up my fey entities?

On the negative resistances, they are limited on the positive side to 127% which indicates (to those of us who work with computers far to much for our own good) that they are signed variables and should be able to go negative. Whether the game will allow it is another matter. Load up shadowkeeper and have a go.

I dont think negatiges are going to work seeing other game behaviour:
- thieving skills above 256 fail on every try
- Char. that goes below 0 but is artificially kept high ( ring of human inlfuence ) makes char. jump to 25

In other words, the game wraps things up. Too high ? --> lowest, too low?
-->highest

So AFAIK giving your dryad negative resistance will actually make it go way up

Dont quote me on it though .. first wait for the people who actually know stuff about this

*cough* Joneleth Irenicus' dryads *cough*

Maybe it's a better idea to allow Dryads to regenerate 1 hp every 2 rounds when they're in the forest, or something like that. Solves the 'problem' of dryads and trees IMHO.

Is it base thieving skills above 256, or total (plus all bonuses) above 256 that causes a problem?

True...but maybe he's a satyr! Nymphs and dryads always dig the guys with the goat legs.

Also solves the problem of having a spirit tree, as satyrs don't have one. OTOH, satyrs are always chasing after anything female. Maybe do good deeds for any female that he finds? (Nalia, Viconia, the dryads, not too sure on Imoen though...)
