Yes you can, but the bad news is that you have to finish Burial Isle first, and ask Hjollder to send you back to Kuldahar.

Too bad it's not like Might and MAgic where all the areas reset for monsters. Sure would like to go back and sweep some goblins etc.

There are several areas that do reset:
1. Entrance to Dorms Deep (Cave area), ettins are easy experiance
2. Under burial Isle, although not as many nasties as before so not so difficult to get experiance as clearing it out the first time.

I think those are the only to areas that respawn.

RE: Respawn

In the early game I use the Skeletons inside Crypt IV (Southeast) in the Vale of Shadows. You get 12 skeletons per sleep (8 West/4 East). You can earn a few coin this way (thier weapons).
Skeleton cheat:
.
.
.
.
.
If you can cast Web (and your two fighters have those "Rings"), you can do this all day long without breaking a nail.

Mower man if you have not found out this yet there is a tower on the island (bottom left) that you can safely rest inside any time you need to replenish hit points or spells. As opposed to travelling back to Lonelywood.

Lonelywood sells a Mace that can kill Undead instantly on a hit. Check out the church. The equipment it sold helped my party a lot on the Burial Isle.

Can't you buy a shield that casts Undead Ward 3 times a day from Edion (the guy in the tower)?

I think he also has a girdle of ogre blood.... VERY fun!

Use fire on the drowned dead... They get killed quite quickly by it. What about using recitation and prayer in tandem? They can certainly buff your party very well, as well as penalizing your foes. Webs or summons are probably a good idea here... Excuse my stupidity, but I never finished the BI. That's all I did of HoW... What do you need to get off the island? Then where do you go? Spoil me!
