YOU can again now start a second profession but, your single class until you reach the Crystal Desert. Now at Thirsty River your can change from duel class to single or from single to duel in fact you change class all together into any class you want to be and If you don't like it you can change back again. I know you can do it because this guy was switching back and forth right in front of me.
All you need to do is find the trainer of the class you want to be.

you dont loose your skills if you change back. An other new thing, since the patch(2 weeks ago I think) you get some starting skills for your new profession, like the firerain(firerain? or firestor? I cant remember the name^^), when you change your profession, so you dont have to buy them all

Your right you can change both professions your primary and secondary but you cant just become a single class unless you started that way. And from what I understand you can exchange all old skills for your new profession skills once you deside to make the change perminate. While your trying out a new skill you get up to 4 temp skills for each profession without loosing your already existing skills to test and see if you want to make the change.

Crimson - I've never heard anything about changing your primary class... are you sure this information is reliable?
Don't get me wrong, if it IS true it's great news. Hell, I'd love to swap some of my characters around ie - (ranger/mesmer --> mesmer/ranger). Have you done it personally? |

Guys you can ONLY change your secondary class. Yes you can change it as many times as you want but you can ONLY change your secondary class. Once you have your primary you are stuck with it.
