Yozzrick, can I borrow your thread for a tick ? I had always wondered why people often forget the first "i" in "Moiraine" ... Is it because "oi" is not a natural English sound ? [img]smile.gif[/img]

Its not that it is not a natural sound, its just that in English, its a different sound...like in boing and groin.

Unless you pronounce it moy-rain it makes sense to spell it without the first i because in English, it looks like it should be mor-ain as opposed to mwa-rain.
I'd be careful in this particular thread! Someone is likely to spell it moro...I won't do it. [img]smile.gif[/img]
