Anyone here a fan? Anyone remember "Songs from the Big Chair" with "Shout", "Everybody Want's to rule the world", "Head over Heels" etc?
Well, I can nail a pretty much dead on vocal impersonation of Roland and to a lesser extent Curt. The band I've got have tossed up the idea that just for the heck of it we could do a gig covering this band. I haven't heard of anyone doing it. It'd be a funny thing to do on the side. The band can carve it up. What do you think? Waste of time? Unnecessary distraction? Lark? Bit of fun? |

yorick, do a variety of songs from different artists, dont limit yourself to just tears for fears, songs from the big chair was the only hit album...

I had a lot of their albums, but i gave them all to a friend of mine. I really need to get a CD with their greatest hits, these guys rock. I used to hang out in a nightclub where they only played stuff like that, also Talking heads, Talk Talk, Duran Duran, the Cure, Depeche mode, etc.... Can you believe i gave all that away ? I didn't have a recordplayer anymore, so i told a friend he could have them. But now i got one again, and i really miss that music.

Go for it Yorick. I still enjoy Tears for Fears, I have several of their albums. IMO the older albums are the best, but that is usually the case with most artists.

I like this group a lot. Their music was often on in our house; my older brother and sister liked them, as well as my parents, so I suppose I grew up with them. I too prefer their older material

Yorick, I love the horns and upbeat progressive style they had in that time. Mybe they could be an advanced Blood, Sweat, and Tears.? Good band!
Very neccesary |
