I would make Little John as a Standard Ranger since he isn´t that good witha bow compared to the rest. The bard was not Will Scarlet, that was a friend/robins halfbrother/a thief mostly in the different stories, but he is a thief in most though.

The bard should use short sword or longsword he is usually described with a rapier he never uses

The bard, wasn't he Alan A'Dale? I seem to have suddenly rembered that, strangely. Depending on what you read Marion was sometimes taught by Robin to shoot, and often became as good as the men at it, and was the groups healer, aside from tuck of course.

She could easily be a thief, and would be quite useful, coz you don't got one yet, and could specialise in bows and something else appreopriate.

They definately wore chainmail in the films when actually reading a keep Amergin, and often wore studded leather or chainmail the rest of the time. They may have been out to help the poor, but they weren't stupid.

Will scarlett could ba a fighter/thief, especially if Marion is a mage, as it fits his character. However in some stories he's out for revenge and is a bit uncontrolable in battle, so a berserker could also fit, but then no bows. Oh well there goes that idea.

I'd vote Fighter/thief for scarlett and Mage for Marion.

Robin hood was an OUTLAW, meaning he acted outside of the (as recognised then) law. Subsequently to make him lawful would possibly be incorrect. He was also a thief. A Ranger/Thief would best suit Robin Hood imho. (Although this combo' is not available without resorting to Shadowkeeper.)

"[Robin Hood is] a man who, in a barbarous age, and under a complicated tyranny, displayed a spirit of freedom and independence which has endeared him to the common people, whose cause he maintained (for all opposition to tyranny is the cause of the people), and, in spite of the malicious endeavours of pitiful monks, by whom history was consecrated to the crimes and follies of titled ruffians and sainted idiots, to suppress all record of his patriotic exertions and virtuous acts, will render his name immortal."

-Joseph Ritson

other "Merry men". -

Little John, John le Nailer or John Little. Possibly a former shepherd, skilled with a quarterstaff and as good or better than Robin with a bow.

"Thre tymes Litell Johnn shet aboute,
And alwey he slet the wande;
The proude sherif of Notingham
By the markes can stande.

The sherif swore a full greate othe:
'By hym that dyede on a tre,
This man is the best arschere
That ever yet saw we.'"

-A Gest of Robyn Hode

Will Scarlet, Will Scarlett, Will Scathelocke, or Will Shacklock. - Fond of daggers for whatever reason.
Maid Marian. - Apparently dressed as a pageboy to find Robin, and done well in a duel against him.
Friar Tuck . - Allowed in because of the importance of religion during the period. Not a fighting man but a priest.
Allan'a'Dale. - Lute playing Bard of some renown.
Will Stutely - Minor player but mentioned as one of Robins men.
Trickett - Robin Hoods dog.

Hmmmm... ...

Well, I'm not going to use anything better than Chainmail. That was decided long ago. No helmets either, maybe Ion Stones.

So let's see,

Robin Hood:

Ranger_Archer

Main weapon : Long Bow
Secondary weapon: Long Sword

Friar Tuck:

I never really envisioned him as a front-line fighter so maybe Fighter dual to Cleric? Then he can use Bows I think, from the fighter class.

Will Scarlett:

Fighter, dual to Thief. Or Thief dual to Fighter?

Maid Marion:

Eh... ... I think nevermind about her.

Alan A'Dale:

So he's the Bard eh? He's in.

I guess Nalia will be my 6th member, to compensate for the utter lack of mages in the party. Unless there was a good mage in Robin Hood tales? Not his sister mind, she's evil.

I think youd have to call him Will Scarlett. Scarlett is a shade of red, so calling him Red Red would be a little redundant. Know what I mean???

Id make Maid Marion a mage just for party balance.

Itlle be interesting to see what you do with it and how it turns out.

Keep us posted on how it turns out, OK. This one I want to hear about. I still think Maid Marian should be involved. Perhaps a sorcerer?

Ok everyone, I was a bit tired when I said Red Scarlet!!

Neway Robin Hood would be a lawful character cos he was an outlaw from the evil Prince John (or Sheriff Of Notingham depending on the story) and he fought to uphold the law of the good King Richard.

Robin Hood, child of Bhaal, i like the sound of that.
