i put the phylactery in both tombs, when i did i killed the lich, it always came back and the ghost doesnt say anything!!!!!

OK - let's try it this way:

It should just be a matter of making sure that the character with the phylactery walks fully into Jamoth's tomb. Once you defeat the lich - make sure that the character with the phylactery is the one who enters the tomb and walk that character through the tomb until the dialogue box indicates that the lich is destroyed and the party has lost an item -- the item that you lose will be the phyalctery. After this happens, you should be all set.

I think Cyril meant your first time playing it all the way through. There are several people that have played IWD, HOW and TOL through to their completion several times.
i.e. Cyril, Micah, Azred....

Well...I have been through HOW twice, but haven't set foot in ToL yet. My party is just now finishing Lower Dorn's Deep before heading to Lonleywood for HoW.
