Is that what you were wondering?

I am almost obsessive when I get a new game. It felt fast. I really enjoyed it though.

That is REALLY fast. The reviews for it have been mixed, to say the least. I hope they don't make BG2.5 that quick.

Boy my math is bad! 3 + 7 = 10 + 12 = 22. *sheesh* I really did take about 24 hours to complete it... and I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything. Most of my characters were between levels 11 - 14 (I used an old save game to access HoW). I had 1 mage, 2 ranger/fighters, a cleric and a fighter thief.

As I said, short but fun!

Memnoch & Ziroc, Do you have any contacts at Black Isle/Interplay? You could pass along that concern - please make it longer than HoW!
(hey - you guys are very knowledgable. Maybe that knowledge includes some contact people.

I'm sure the game can be lengthen with Heart of Fury ... but so can the frustrations ... they've really beefed up the monsters in that mode.

Not out here until March 15 (grumble)
I haven't played IWD right through yet - I've been waiting for HOW so I can start over again with the new features.
Mostly because I didn't like the way my bard looked/sounded/acted. Got to have a good bard.

Can I ask you good people what party combinations you play with? I have been thinking about having a single class cleric *and* a dual or multi cleric/fighter (along with mage, fighter, fighter/thief & bard) because of the large amount of undead. Or is that overkill?

My most recent party of six consist of:
1)Fighter/mage (my favorite) dual class from fighter (sword and shield, spell casting)
2)Fighter pure class human (crossbow, two handed sword)
3)Fighter/thief multi-class half-elve (bow, one hand sword)
4)Paladin pure class human (sword/hammer and shield)
5)Ranger/cleric multi-class half-elve (spell casting, hammer and shield)
6)Mage pure class elve (spell casting, dagger)

Plan to go with a two member party later with my fighter/mage and fighter/thief.

As for your party, nah, I don't think it is overkill ... although I would think one cleric is often enough (I use mine to turn undead sometimes), you might want to invest on an additional tank who can fire range attacks (e.g. bows).

I just read in another post on the BG2 forum that Ziroc completed HoW in 9 hours!! Amazing! How did you manage that Ziroc? I must be a slow learner. LOL

Epona,

two clerics is not overkill. in fact, a straight cleric and a fighter cleric is an EXCELLENT combination in a party. when you encounter undead, the straight cleric can stand an turn them while the fighter cleric calls upon holy might and cleans up the stragglers (dwarven fighter clerics are there best cuz their high con makes for many more hitpoints). Clerics have a decided advantage in this game with the low level wonder spells like Sanctuary(make your cleric a scout) and Call upon Holy Might (now make him a fighter). I'd also make the straight cleric Evil. this way he gets the new "cause wounds" spells and, if he turns the undead, they fall under his control rather than explode.
As for your bard; be happy to know that in HoW, bards get a total of 6 different bard songs they can sing
