I did the mines, collected my reward, waited 23904829304 nights in the Nashkel Mine area where the wolves usually are (I restarted the game) and they won't appear! Do your characters have to be at a certain level before you can fight them or what?

Hrm something interesting I noticed is that sometimes I will fight just one kobold. I know that this is NOT normal because i've rested and encountered ONLY either a group of kobolds OR the wolves. So my best guess is that the game is replacing the wolf with a single kobold until I do something to get the wolf to appear....

Personally I think you are becoming just to obsessed with the winter wolf. The wolf isn't important and it is possible you will come across others in the game.

yeah, i ran into wolves(winter) all over the south of the sword coast. somtimes i'd come back from adventuring with 4 or 5 pelts.

Why don't you just play the game normally? What's the point in waiting on wolves or any type of creature for that length of time? Just go through all the maps, kill all monsters, do all quests, and you'll hit the experience cap far sooner thank you think.

They dont appear in Nashkel mines screen, usually. Try one screen to east or northeast.

DUDE RELAX!!!

Just go to any of the Southern screens..my favorite is the mine screen itself and walk back and forth across the bottom third of the screen...the random monster generator will make sure that you get loaded up with wolf pelts in due time.

or just walk from map to map, you'll get attacked random monster encounter, and one is normally polar bear + winter wolf, again easy pelt

erm question from me though is cant you make cloaks from those pelts? and if so how? guy in nashkel only buys em from me
