I feel ya nanobyte. I kind of feel the same way but I'm a newbie so I understand that I haven't even made many posts. I think seeing other people who are good friends and reply to each other all the time makes some of us who don't feel a little left out. I can only log on here and there so that's another strike against some people. But I really do enjoy reading all the posts even if I don't reply. So I'm sure there are others out there like me who do read your posts and appreciate them. Hang in there.

Don't worry about being the final responder to a thread or about people not responding in your threads. No one is saying, oh no it's that Nanobyte again.

It's doubtful I would ever ignore a response from you, but it is possible that you've said something I agreed with and didn't feel the need to reinterate, you said something I didn't agree with but didn't want to argue over, or maybe you responded about something I didn't have an opinion on.

Don't worry about it. Don't post to receive a response, post to share something like a joke, a comment, an argument, or whatever, but remember, if you post "needing" a response, you'll always be disappointed because you'll never get exactly what you want.

Hang loose, have fun, be nice, and enjoy it here.

Rule #1, Don't sweat the little stuff.
Rule #2, It's ALL little stuff.

Nanobyte, first off, HELLO AND GLAD TO SEE YOU. Second- well you aren't the first or the only one to feel that way! Believe it or not, I've felt that way a few times, myself! Sometimes it's just easy to think that everyone should notice a post we made or respond to it and if they don't we think they don't like us or what we said. But if I may, I'll offer other reasons why it happens:

*people are busy and don't always read the whole thread or every thread;

*sometimes, as has been said, you say what others agree with and don't feel they have to post about it;

*it's a busy day and threads get buried by new ones or bumped off the first page;

*time zones....oh yes! I recall in my early days 2 yrs ago, I thought for SURE that Yorick hated me! Yup...he never seemed to answer my posts even the ones directed to him and sometimes he even posted around my posts in a thread! Turns out he was moving around and not always able to get on the internet and answered things willy nilly as he could. Others had felt that way off and on so I figured out it was just MY PERCEPTION- Yorick likes me just fine! We discussed that one night when I stayed up waaaaaaay past my bedtime to have an almost 'real time' chat on the board with him and Memnoch. He wasn't ignoring me, he just missed the posts or didn't have time to answer them and we all had moved on so he let them go. There are lots of reasons for missing someone's posts or not replying!

*Sometimes people just don't think it NEEDS a reply for whatever reason. Maybe they agree and it's not earthshattering or maybe it's not something they are well acquainted with and don't feel they CAN answer or they just aren't interested, that does happen too.

So in summary, Nanobyte, don't feel bad, I don't think anyone is ignoring you or at least not on purpose! You know, sometimes I post at the Cafe and nobody answers or notes it, too! It's just the nature of a message board, especially a busy one! It's best not to tie up one's ego with a message board, that will never make you feel a hundred percent good! I can guarantee that!

PS: sometimes it's good to remember that not everyone spends the same amount of time here every day, too. I know that I used to be online a lot more before my fiance arrived but now I can only check in for short times some days, because RL calls me on occasion. Oh and I wanted to add my "BRAVO" about your saving for the car

LOL RBF, see the last part of my post above! I've got a fiance to spend time with so I don't live on the net as much as I used to!

Hey, another point I missed above, sometimes people will start participating in a thread when they see it but later they may forget which ones they are in or they may stop following some for one reason or another, time issues included.
