There seems to be some confusion as to who is moderating what at Ironworks.

Each forum has a set of moderators. Someone who is a moderator on one forum may have no power on another one. The forums are fairly autonomous in this respect.

Ziroc moderates all the forums. The rest of us are co-moderators with Ziroc on various forums.

Ertai_OHF, Memnoch, and I co-moderate General Discussions with Ziroc.

Memnoch co-moderates the following forums: GD, BG2/ToB, IWD/HoW, NWN, NWN-Undermountain, PoRII, AD&D Books, User Created Polls, and Darkstone.

Ertai_OHF (Javi) co-moderates the following forums: BG/ToSC and GD.

I (Sazerac) co-moderate the following forums: GD and Wizardry 8.

Wyvern co-moderates the Wizards & Warriors forum.

CocoaSpud co-moderates the Dungeon Craft-RPG game maker forum.

An Ironworks moderator who is not named a moderator on a particular forum does NOT have moderator power in that forum, regardless of their standing in other forums. For all practical purposes, they are the same rank as a regular registered user of the forum.

If there is a problem going on in a particular forum, please contact the moderators listed at the top of that forum. Although the rest of us are concerned about what goes on at Ironworks, if we are not moderators there, there is little we can do.

The best thing to do when a situation arises is self-police. If there is a troublemaker, ignore flames or trolling statements and contact the moderators in charge of the forum. It's up to each one of us to keep a situation from escalating.

Always check the "Who's Online" to see if one of the moderators is on the board at that time. You can get to that here:

Thanks!

All of us are going to have to rely on that in the coming weeks, everyone (the self-policing bit). Not all the moderators can be on the boards at all times, and, not meaning to *ahem* imply anything untoward, but now that it's summer, the incidents such as what just happened on BG2 are quite likely to become more and more common, at least for these next few weeks, as Ziroc himself has intimated.

Thanks once again!

Well, I for one am glad that duties are shared on most boards! The troll tonight was a royal pain! I guess we'll all be watching more carefully...and thanks goes to Larry who came to GD and told us there was trouble/potential trouble in BG2.

Just remember that trolls feed on attention. If you come across a bad one, don't flame or respond, just email the moderator of the appropriate forum, and be patient. Trolls have a short life span here.

Ahhh...echo....echo... I was telling people that trolls come looking to stir things up and get attention last night. Of course, that didn't stop our troll!
Anyway, as this is a Moderator thread, I wanted thank our moderators for dealing with the little monster so quickly and effectively.

Oh and Saz? Thanks for deleting all that rot, keeps from having dozens of curious souls answer it and keep it up on page one for lurking troublemakers to gloat over.
