I imported my BG1 thief in BG2, and it robs him of 20 hp! I've done it several times over, all with the same results. Is this normal? Having a 10th level character with only 30 someodd hp might be okay if you're playing a mage... But I'm not. I'd dearly love to learn how to fix this. The fellow has to be able to take the repercussions of failed and/or inadequate backstabs, you know...

Just a theory, but try setting the game difficulty to Normal before importing your BG1 character.

You, Mr. Slaytern, are a saint, I don't care what all the rest of these folks say when you aren't paying attention! It worked, my assassin can actually withstand a few mosquito bites without dieing, and the difficulty level is easily restored after importing. Thank you, sir.
