I will give you that eight is the correct answer... but why?

And explaining the geek line... the number 25 in base 10 (decile, or DEC) is equivalent to the number 31 in base 8 (octal, or OCT).

And Dalamar, that sounds like a hard-boiled question that might leave my brain scrambled if I tried to poach the answer. Was that over easy enough for you? Or will you make like Dirk Benedict and use another response?

I've seen the other set, but I can't remember the first answer. I know the other two... they're straightforward

How do you fit a giraffe in a refridgerator?

There is a river in the savanna that you must cross where large crocidiles live. How do you get past the crocidiles?
1. Open Door, put giraffe in, close door.
2. The giraffe.
3. Swim.

Actually I think female firefighters are called FireMEN too,the same with postmen.(I´ve never heard firewoman or postwoman)

I'll take those answers to questions 1 and 2. The answer to question 3? Easy, if you knew the answer to 2. Just go ahead, because the crocogators are at the meeting...

And I don't know how it is in other parts of the world, but in overly-sensitive Michigan they're called firefighters and postal workers (or postal carriers). None of that man/woman sexist stuff in there, lemmetellya...

1)
You live with your male room-mate. One day, he leaves the apartment to go shopping. Just as he leaves, you hear voices outside. Your roomate shouts "NO! Don't shoot! I love you!". After that, you hear a gunshot. You rsh outside to find your roomate dead on the floor with three people standing around him - a fireman, a lawyer, and a postman. Who killed your room-mate?

2) (This is pretty popular so you'll probably get it).
"I have a mouth, but never speak. I have a bed, but never sleep. I run, but never walk. What am I?

Hehehe... I love riddles .
It's simple, very simple, the postman killed your room-mate, obvious isn't it? oh and the other is river

Close enough. The answer is his wife, his daughter and a passerby.

the answer to "a box without hinges, key, lock, or lid, yet inside golden treasure is hid" is an egg. stop borrowing from "the Hobbit" for riddles.

Now that this has been dragged on long enough what is the answer to the funky math riddle?
