UGHHH! The captured villagers in the Dragons Eye (on the second floor) have disapeared! I didn't know if it was important to have them around, but I did help Sheemish find his way back home... I didn't know if I needed to rescue the rest of the villagers or not.. I hope not, because I just went onto the third level! Can anyone help me?

I think this is supposed to happen, as they disappear after a while. Did you talk to all the villagers you found?

On that level, I don't think the captives offer anything in terms of experience or sub quests. To be thorough and experience the game, I would have gone to them and try to talk with them, but I don't think they said anything of value. I don't think you missed anything by moving on.

Have you patched the game? There is a bug associated with the villagers, I don't think they're suppose to disappear until you've finished the entire Dragon's Eye.
BTW Welcome to Ironworks, Sakuri23! [ 08-05-2003, 09:12 AM: Message edited by: Stratos ]

Thank You for your help! I talked to some of the villagers on the second floor already and they didn't say anything interesting... I didn't think it meant anything, but I wanted to check just in case.
I did look up the 1.6 patch for IWD on this websight, but it said that I had to pay for it... So, I decided to just go on with the game.. I also tried to download pictures off this websight and it wouldn't let me..? Do you guys know if the internet gaming is good for this game? I haven't tried it yet (I wanted to beat it first).

Are you using THIS link???
http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/icewind/downloads.shtml I just tried downloading the patch and got NO indication that there is ANY charge for the patch download. Try again. I had mixed experiences with IWD in multiplayer. IWD by itself is fine for multiplayer - plays well with minimal lag even with some group members hooked to 56k dial-up modems. As our group added HoW and then TolM, multiplayer performance got steadily worse to the point where it was unplayable. HOWEVER, other people have reported NO trouble playing TolM in multiplayer. I suspect that the problem we were having may have been related to the host system but i can't swear to it. [ 08-05-2003, 12:38 PM: Message edited by: Micah Foehammer ]

Oh ... you should be able to find a free download of the PKZip software. Try doing a search on Google or some other search engine.
