Slight Spoilers ahead..................
I have just gotten through the River caves and the small caves leading up to the Black raven Monastary gates, I have triple-checked that I killed everything in the place and yet when I go back to the Duergar encampment I am not given the option to tell the head chief guy that I have killed all the monsters as I said I would. Am I missing something? Are there some caves behind the Duergar fortress that I haven't gone into yet? I really want to get this quest done and get my reward so I can help em "remove" those pesky monks [img]smile.gif[/img] Those eight testing chambers are just too much of a hassle for my mercanary crew [img]smile.gif[/img] any help with this little problem would be greatly appreciated.

well, this is a bug...it has something to do with the way the jellies spawn, and then divide themselves. If you don't let them divide all the way or one fails to spawn b/c something is in its way, or it spawns in a wall your screwed. However, suppossedly, if you keep talking to the guy who gave you the quest with different characters it will let you complete it.

It's true. If you don't kill the slimes quickly enough to prevent them from dividing a lot, the quest flag is messed up. Fortunately, you can fix this easily with the cheat console (this is an "official" fix from Black Isle until they release a patch).
Use control-tab to open the console (typing line at the screen bottom). Then type the following (no spaces): ctrlaltdelete:SetGlobal("AR5101_monsters_dead","global",1); Hit return, then control-tab to close the console. You will now receive your reward. I have had to use this myself in a couple of games. |
