For Syrathic

The Grimlock had never been treated so by his prey before, and the movements of the elf-creature was terribly painful and accurate in it's defence for it's life! The Grimlock was furious that he had been hit and was bleeding, and when he heard the elf-thing suddenly stop in it's tracks behind him, he whirled around and jumped at it, hoping to overpower the elf with it's mass and strength.

OOC>>>The Grimlock has been hit. This has caused him to rage and become more offensive. You have successfully rolled away from his attack without taking damage.

For Dantes:

The energy in which the human fought was what was giong to save him this day. There was a lash and then another as the Wraith hissed again in frustration that it's life force was being burned away by the magic in the blade. Yet, not being able to know fear, the Wraith persisted and although it would lose it's existance, it did not understand but one thing...to steal the life from another.

OOC>>>The Wraith has been hit twice for successful damage. It has momentarially back away from Dantes in an effort to study out a weakness in your defence. You have not sustained damage this turn. Your HP is still 66/76.

For Ruby

As you look about you, you see nothing, as the entire cavern is shrouded in darkness. You can hear and mostly you can feel the life forces in the cavern, some feint and some very much alive.

OOC>>>I have placed your position to be the farthest away from the battles at the moment, but do not get comfortable just yet. You are near to the house of the Elders, behind their house in the farthest reaches of the cavern, where you sought solitude and rest. Due to your quietness and distance, you have not been discovered by any Grimlocks, as they have neither smelled nor heard you. Still...you are in a dangerous place to be, because they hear Anarrima and they also know of he Elders...and both are targets.

I do not know of the powers of your character nor of wyrd's...so PM me what you can so I can help role-play you into the melee. I am sure Cyril will also have a word with you when he sees this post. Welcome back!

Dantes advanced, feeling when to press his attack, he would not be able to dispell this rift until, he had killed any enemies close enough to wound him while casting, and this creature was certainly that close. Assuming the creature had backed away, Dantes attacked in a wide arc hoping to gut the creature that had been attacking him, yet preparing to counter attack, should he miss, or the creature survive his attack, there was not much he could do in the dark, just use his reflexes and senses as much as he could. Even between hesitantly advancing with his katana Dantes' mind was still working on the apparent desertion of Morgeraut. How could he?, Dantes thought as his blade hummed in an arc he presumed to be deadly accurate.

Brendon HP: 52/70

He had been taken by surprise. The darkness had disoriented him, the trip and fall has lost his stance, and the bite of a weapon into his flesh tore at his sanity. Yet, for what it was worth, Brendon fought on. His ranger abilities were finally remembered and the training he had been through had begun to show forth. Hearing a swing coming and accompanied by a growl of determination...Brendon was able to successfully duck the blow. Once he was down in a huddled position, he rolled himself into the legs of the Grimlock to his left, who fell upon being bowled over. The fall made the Grimlock lose his grip on the axe he bore, as he and it fell to the ground. Brendon rolled over again, jumped up with the axe now in his grip and swung at the first hiss he heard. It made contact with something and that something pulled itself away from the now bloodied blade and Brendon heard it stumble over it's companion who had not yet regained it's posture from the floor. That left one. Where? A rock was kicked behind him and he turned and swung, but found only air. Then an axe burned an arc across his shoulder from the back he had just turned from. Now he heard the other two getting up.

OOC>>>
Brendon has taken 7 damage, taking his HP down to 45/70.
One of the Grimlocks has been hit with damage.

Anarrima

All around, but mostly ahead near the cavern entrance....Ana heard the sounds of death, amplified in her meditative position, and also for teh lack of light, sounds were becoming more noticeable. She prayed diligently to her goddess that light may be returned to the area, to dispell the unnatural dark, and to save the lives of those innocents that now lay helpless more than ever.
Her goddess began to hear.
With a few more syllables in the prayer left, Anarrima concentrated all her will to lifting the darkness. Yet while she prayed, the goddess of light and life, Ahurani Fairhand, mentioned a condition to Anarrima. The undead that were called forth to protect the mage. They would have to be dispelled to return to the peace of the grave. Anarrima made the covenant with her goddess that it would be so, as she worked on her supplication for light.

OOC>>>Anarrima will be finished with the prayer after one more round, per the conditions of the spell she is casting. (Takes two full rounds to complete)

Your characters do not need to know, but to explain the post...Anarrima has been asked to remove the undead from the battle-field as part of the treaty.

Death toll:

Grimlocks = 101/???
Defender Gnomes = 60/70

Miscellaneous

Earth Elemental = Near Death
Summoned Shadow = Moderately Wounded
Wraith = Near Death

Undead Grimlocks =
#1 Unsummoned
#2 Moderately Wounded
#3 Barely Wounded
#4 Near Death

Have I covered everything???

Kethotar

Kethotar cursed as the remaining grimlocks, or atleast the two who wasn't wounded, fled into the darkness. Before they completely disappeared, the ranger fired another quickly and barely aimed arrow, before he started running after them, fastening the bow on his back (or atleast so it wouldn't fall off) and unsheathing both his sword and axe again. "Take care of the remaining one," he said in common to the other shadow-like creature he had seen as he ran past him.
Kethotar quickly and suddenly stopped as he entered the cavern. The darkness was complete, much thicker, sort of, than it should be. "Unnatural," he quietly said to himself before he started moving again, but now with more careful steps. And realizing that the grimlocks probably could see through the darkness, his approach against what seemed to be the centre of the battle, was slow. He also didn't attack any while fumbling in the dark, in fear of hitting the wrong opponent. He held his weapons in a defensive position, though; his eyes and ears open.

For Kethotar

As the Grimlocks were running, another arrow whizzed by the ear of the one in the back, causing it to pick up speed and run faster, actually pushing it's ally aside as it tried to get in the lead of this mad dash away from the arrow-shooting elf. They knew that their strength was in their numbers as well as the element of surprise. They would get this one back for the fear he had placed in thier hearts. If they did not...she surely would.

OOC>>>The arrow had no definate target and missed the rear Grimlock by only a fraction, causing it to run faster. There is only one Grimlock remaining in the outside cavern where our two amigos are currently.

Kethotar, you are lucky enough to be standing just inside the cavern entrance, as all Grimlocks have moved further than 40 feet from that door, and cannot detect you. Your perception of hearing tells you about how large the scale of the battle is in here, and you can also barely distinguish elven languages from human, and the directions that they are in. If you need more information, lemme know where I am lacking.

Shadow

As the other warrior charged into the darkened cavern, the shadowy one quickly attempted to bind the grimlock that was bleeding to death on the ground. Once it was secured, Shadow bound it's wounds to prevent further bleeding, neither waiting for, or expecting a word of thanks. Quickly he cut off his length of rope and carefully crept into the magically darkened cave that the creatures came from, putting his enchanted blade away and drawing the normal one.

ooc the shadowy one's reasoning is that the creatures obviously know they're outmatched and we are needed much more inside, than chasing down a few scattered creatures that will likely flee not be an issue to us.

The Possessor

As the grimlocks ran, a look of puzzlement grew on the warrior's face. Running meant death in the arena. Not only was there no place to go, solid walls and reinforced doors blocking ones path at every turn, once the fight was out of a combatant the crowd was swift to turn against him. Their disapproval led to a fate far worse than a quick yet spectacular death at the hands of the Posessor.
But these were not the pits, were they? Trapped far beneath the forums he might be, but the countless cavernous corridors seemed to snake onwards for miles and miles. A person could run forever in a place as this.

By the time he had his bola out, the grimlocks were well out of range. The warrior turned instead to the sputtering beast on the floor, grimacing in disgust as he saw the elf take the time to bind its wounds. It would have been better to finish the creature off.
The warrior took a ring out of his pocket and snapped it around his bola before dropping it to the ground. He scooped up his gladius in a practiced movement and hurried after the bowman, pausing as it did at the edge of the mysterious darkness, trying to make sense of what was happening beyond.

Kethotar

Kethotar continued his slow approach in the darkness, taking only carefully aimed steps. He wouldn't want to trip over, as that would surely make atleast some grimlocks aware of his exact position. "Damn this darkness," he thought as he continued inwards. He was used to fight in the dark of the night, but this was different. He could atleast see his opponent during the night, something he could not here.
Kethotar had now got atleast a slight idea of where his allies were, which ofcourse was his main target. Right now, considering the situation, he would not dare to take on a horde of grimlocks by himself. He needed atleast one other to fight at his side before he would do something that reckless.

OOC: Kethotar is now only some feet away from what believes to be atleast one friendly creature. As I don't know who of the players are located where, you'll have to decide who he is closing in on.
