Hi all, went out & bought HOW today, thank god for credit cards! LOL, I'm not ready just yet to venture into HOW as I'm just about to start Upper Dorn's deep, but it mentioned a few nice add-ons that I thought would be nice to have now, but they don't seem to work yet. I wanted the jewel/scroll/potion bags & supposedly the stores have additional items. Well, I went to the store and they still have the same ol' boring items and I have no bags. Does anyone know if you only get these things once you officially start HOW? Thanx!!!

Sorry Lori but it looks like they are only available in the HOW area. If you want them I guess try that shack in Khuldahar and go from there. I just bought all three. Post if you want more info, I dont want to spoil anyones game

Actually, I read the instruction manual, and it said that the old Wizard in Kuldahar and another vendor, can't remember who, has new items added to their inventories in addition to what you were used to finding in their shops...(in other words...read the book, it tells alot!!!)

I did read the book, then I checked the shops and they had nothing new. I guess they won't until you actually start HOW. I'm still working on IWD.

hmmm...good point...you may be right...the game will only add the new things after you trigger a certain indicator, telling the game that you should now have access to new items...

You guys probably know already, but I thought I should add this as a warning: gem bags, scroll cases, and potion bags don't get "saved" when you export your character, so if you plan to switch characters, make sure all containers are emptied out or pass the bags to a party member who you do not plan to replace. The same goes for quest specific items.
