IW from my work place, I checked with the network guys at work..nothing has changed on our side. I have tried the regular URL and the IP addy and I still am getting page not found errors....Any Idea what happened to me...my work site is only a few miles from my home site and I have no problem from home

I have the same problem most of the time. Today I am online at work, but yesterday I was not able to access. It is not from Ziroc's side, it will be from your office.
When my workplace does "anything" to the server, firewall, or other major equipment...I lose access only to IW until something along the pathway (here to Florida) is refreshed. I can ping the site, but never get the URL. Even the trick of putting the IP address into the host file does not help. Nor does it help to clear out old history, temp. folders, and cookies. It is just something that I have learned that I have to wait for. I used to e-mail Ziroc alot about it, but he could never see anything from his side that would cause the problem. Then, two days later, I would (and will) always be able to get on. Of course...I am guessing that your problem is the same as mine, but I cannot prove it...so ...I hope that I at least give you another option to think about.

Thanks Larry....it is so frustrating, I know people have posted things for me and are waiting for replies...and I can't get in...so it looks like Im either being rude and ignoring them or that I just don't care.....gonna have to chat with the network folks again and figure this out...it is ONLY IW that is affected which is why I thought it was something that Z had done.....again thanks for the info.

I used to experience similar occurances in high-school. I figured the school's servers were just weird in the first place... Then again I don't go there anymore so I can't really say if such an occurance has happened recently

I have not touched any setting on the site, so it's on your end for sure. If you are behind a proxy, that is the problem. it may have been updated with new sites...?

The only thing they wont let us access is the Spinner and other broadcast sites...and porno of course...The guys downstairs (and my bosses) for that matter know that when I have done my job right, I have very little to do but surf the web and read internet sites (mostly technical) I am one of the less internet busy surfers in my building if you can believe that. However they may have redone parts of the network AND I was just put on a new leg when I got the new PC last week....so we shall see. It may be that I am behind a Proxy now... to quote:"I'm paid for what I know, not what I do. I'm an insurance policy for those rainy days when things go wrong!"
