is it only me or does minc seem more like a barbarian than a ranger, hes stupid hes mad and hes strong sounds like a barbarian to me. and his picture looks more barbarianish too. i guess there wasnt a barbarian class in bg 1 though. i reckon his bg 1 pic looks better by far too

Yup. He even has berserk as a special ability.

He is a beserker, IIRC, from his tribe, but loved the woodland so much that he became a ranger, but kept his beserker skillz.

There's lots of people that don't seem to fit their class. Anomen, Minsc, Yoshimo... nothing much we can do, I suppose. (Unless you have Shadowkeeper.

I'm not exactly sure why someone would think that Anomen does not "fit" being a dual-classed fighter-cleric. I don't see him being a paladin. Way too much of a jerk in his pre-test version.

Or for that matter, what's the gripe with Yoshimo? Wrong thief kit?

I agree that Minsc seems wrong. IIRC, Minsc is a character that was originally based on one of the developer's own paper AD&D characters.

Of course, some people also don't/didn't like that Imeon was converted to a thief/mage. I suppose that it may have been done to make the story work, but who knows?
