Does anyone know if the 3rd edition prestige classes (arcane archer, assasin etc) are going to be implemented in Neverwinter Nights? I know the game is supposed to be based entirely on 3rd edition rules, but I imagine something like the prestige class rules would be quite a pain to code.

Then again, what do I know about programming?

Any ideas?

I do know that the assasin will be in the game. Unlike BG2 they'll be able to go above a point in two weapon style. They'll be cool. (But do we really need a dozen Artemis Enteri's running around? Hmm...)

I just hope they work it like the pen and paper game where you have to multiclass into it after you have met certain requirements. The multiclass system in 3rd edition is one of the best things about it and I really hope it's represented accurately in NWN.

I'm not sure how they'd work in the roleplaying elements of gaining the class. For example, a potential assassin must kill someone for no other reason then to join the guild.

I certainly hope not to see adventuring parties teeming with Artemis Enteri's. He's a very nasty man...

As much as I've read about NWN it didn't say anything about requirements for the assasin. I think you'll start the beggining of the game as one. And no I wouldn't want to see the NWN world corrupted by hundreds of Artemis Enteri's either. He is mean...

Bored of the humble thief? Be a Paladin! Or a Half-Orc Wizard/Barbarian, or a Fighter/Cleric/Bard, or anything! Even assassins look a little limited in 3rd edition compared to the great multiclass combos available, and while you may laugh at the above examples, I've seen 'em played in PnP and they work. It'll be really cool if the same thing can be done in NWN.

Maybe we should start ordering pizzas for the people at Bioware to get them working faster... I don't wanna wait till 2002!

Assassins are really cool, but I can accept the monk as an assassin...

Long live the Kobold Paladins! hehe!

Well I hope there will be some prestige classes available. Some are hard to get into the game though and some are somewhat useless..

Well Assasins like Entreri is only (in Faerun RPG compendium) only 1lvl assasin.. he is a fighter and rough to, so that might explain why he could fight so well with drizzt...
