Okay...I used to have Mindspring, and at the top right of the browser...there was a little yellow head that would spin when explorer was exploring. Well,,,I got roadrunner a while back, and installed it. The mindspring icon at the top right that is animated was not replaced with the roadrunner icon. I have tried deleting everything in the registry that is called mindspring...but that has not removed the mindspring icon at the top of the browser page.
Where is that file located?
How can I replace it with the rr icon?

I've never run into this, but I suspect that Mindspring has either patched or replaced IE. Try upgrading/replacing IE.

There's a lot of IE "skins" out there, like the so-called Tomb Raider browser (Neoplanet) that's basically IE with a pretty face.

Did you use all the RR install discs? They make minor modifications to "setup" your PC for their connection, including the RR head.

For the most part, their setup discs are worthless, but they do perform this function.

I just now tried out their online chat support. It was great! The dude was right there, ready to talk to me on Saturday night. I asked him about it, and he said I would have to have IE's liscenced version of RR to make it work...and that I do not have that one, obviously. I had the installer from Time Warner install it for me, and though I have the install CD...I would never be able to get that little icon. I wish there was something I could do...like remove that icon, then place what I want in there.

Any ISP can insert that graphic.. I did that for my friends ISP

To get rid of it, download IE 6.0 and re-install it (Overright it if you can). This should work Lar!
