I'l just give a heads up for Partition Magic too. I have it, and have used it on another PC to get a bit more room on a partition. Worked fine and always handy.

Just be careful when using Partition magic. back up your registry first. I used it once some time ago and started getting BSOD every 5 minutes (it was win 98).
You can try editing registry yourself (again, back up first). Try HKEY_Local_Machine -> Software or HKEY_Current_User -> Software and find your program there. Try and edit obvious parameter like InstallPath or somesuch. [ 11-06-2006, 02:00 PM: Message edited by: ZFR ]

there are various torrent sites for you to choose from in regards to torrents. An easy way to do is use share programs such as shareaza (edited spelling doh!)(similar to kazaa with no spyware), and search thu thier networks. Note: you will need to configure your firewall to specify in opening specific ports for the torrents.
good information can be found here http://www.zeropaid.com/ too bad my own wireless network doesnt support the torrents. [ 11-08-2006, 10:45 AM: Message edited by: Harkoliar ]

utorrent is probably your best torrent program that I've stumbled across. I think they blow kazaa and morpheus right out of the water, but that's not saying much I suppose.

Torrents are used for P2P filesharing, with one significant difference from other P2P programs - all downloaders are also uploaders. The upshot to this is the more popular a download is, the faster the file transfer will proceed - the opposite of what happens with other P2P networks. (my personal record is 450kb/sec downloading knoppix)
The way torrents work, is you go a torrent search site (Torrentspy is good) and download a torrent file, which is a small file that tells your torrent client how to access the seeder that is serving the file. Most torrent clients (I use bittornado, utorrent is popular as well) start when you double click the torrent file. Once the download is complete, you can continue uploading as a service to fellow users. It's considered good netiquette to upload at least as many bytes as you download.
