Massive spoilers below:
: : : : : I'm still in the first chapter of TOB, and my group has 7 new +4 weapons, 3 new +5 weapons, a new +6 weapon, and one of my old weapons was upgraded to +4. I find so many +3 weapons, I don't even bother picking them up anymore. Does this strike anyone else as insane? |

ToB SPOILER:

I can't say I agree, when it comes to the point that you can't decide whether Jaheria should equip her +6 staff of the ram, +6 Ixit's Spike, or dual wield a combination of +5 club of detonation, +5 dagger of the star, or +4 spectral brand; things are a little out of control.

If Im level 40 anything I better be able to stomp level 15 drizzt into the ground with no problem.
So If a level 15 character has +3 to +5 weapons, My level 40 character should have +5 and +6 weapons, SO I don't see a problem. They made TOB so that they could get one major powerful weapon in the game for each weapon type, so that you could get a great club, or a great mace, or a great flail, depending on your character. The only Great weapons in BG2 were for the Paladin, The +5 warhammer, the +3 katana, the +5 sling, and some +4 staffs, halbards, 2-handed swords, daggers, etc. They wanted one of each (at least) weapon to be in TOB that would stand equal to some of the other great weapons. |

+6 enchantments aren't even allowed in 3E by the rules.

That sword was implemented in BG2. It is equiped by an NPC who kills the party if they attack the shadow thieves before Bhodi sends them.
