Because you didn't have Deus Ex or Morrowind i voted for BGII as the best. i Voted for Dungeon Siege as the worst becuase, although some like it that way, its so damn linear i've seen instructions to create cupboards less linear (granted the cupboard was from Ikea). on my worst list DS even beat NWN that doest run on my system due to my crappy voodoo 5 video card.

PS. to all you like me who have NWN but it doesn't work, heres a tip, it makes a great coaster for your drinks

Uh !? Why isn't the Fallout series in this poll . Imo, it is better then all the others. Allthough Ps:T came very close.

I voted the Diablo series as best RPG. I mean i am way more addicted to D2 then i ever was or will be to NWN, BG2, and all those others. Plus, once ur a high level, you make a clan, and go around PKing people. Its great fun

As worst...well i picked one i've never played. I like all the RPGs i play so far

The Best is definately the whole BG series, but BG 2 is obviously better than 1. As far as the worst, well NWN couldn't campare to BG except for graphics, though Diablo is way worse and shouldn't even be considered a RPG. Though overall I had to pick Pool of Radiance as the worst , I am embarrassed to even admit to owning it. That game is probably the worst kind of turned based I have ever played. Seemed to take hours to get anywhere in the game and it wasn't even that interesting. So out of the games that I've played that's what I voted.

PS:T gets my #1 vote for roleplaying even though it was largely linear, PoR2 was a massive flop, just as well EB took it back. Wiz8 was hugely booooring & also went back to EB. I am now playing NWN & enjoying it.
Next on the list is Icewind Dale 2 + Divine Divinity (have played the demo [a massive 400Mb download] very D2ish) + perhaps Fatherdale.

I'd like to say that D2 can't be considered an RPG at all. Fun game, sure, for a while till your mousebutton-fingers begin to ache. Or till you notice the annoying repetitiveness of the game....

But not an RPG, definitely not an RPG in any way whatsoever.

System Shock 2 annoyed me to be honest. you HAD to get certain skills or youi'd be stuffed. Even if you started as a marine, for instance, you still had to pick up psionics, etc, to beat the game
