I hate those split keyboards! Took *forever* to get used to the thing. I haven't seen the new keys yet, so I don't know what you guys about. And I have seen worse key combinations than Ctrl alt delete on some PC games...

LMAO! Sir Tainly that is so wrong!

Grrr..... that annoys me aswell. Especially as I loose in game sound, so I end up having to restart the game.

What's worse is that for some reason the sensitivity of these keys is much greater than any of the others, so you only have to brush and your desktop appears. I've almost been at the stage of ripping these keys off my keyboard before now!!

Anyway, what's all this talk about people using CTRL-ALT-DEL? Why would you possibly need to use that?

In addition to the keys found on the standard keyboard, Microsoft's new design adds several new keys which will make your Windows computing even more fun! The final specs are not yet set, so please feel free to make suggestions. The keys proposed so far are:

1) GPF key--This key will instantly generate a General Protection Fault when pressed. Microsoft representatives state that the purpose of the GPF key is to save Windows users time by eliminating the need to run an application in order to produce a General Protection Fault.

2) $$ key--When this key is pressed, money is transferred automatically from your bank account to Microsoft without the need for further action or third party intervention.

3) ZD key--This key was developed specifically for reviewers of Microsoft products. When pressed it inserts random superlative adjectives in any text which contains the words Microsoft or Windows within the file being edited.

4) MS key--This key runs a Microsoft commercial entitled "Computing for Mindless Drones" in a 1" x 1" window.

5) FUD key--Self explanatory.

6) Chicago key--Generates do nothing loops for months at a time.

7) IBM key--Searches your hard disk for operating systems or applications by vendors other than Microsoft and deletes them.
sirtainly, you forgot the dreaded and infamous BSOD key... (blue screen of death, for those that havent had the pain of seeing one).

I actually like these new keyboards *ducks as the rotten fruit is thrown*. They really speed things up if you can't be bothered to go to the START menu. Since I am a really fast typer and generally type A LOT for my essays, I know where all the keys are, so I don't get confused like some *ahem* 'oldies' *cough*Ziroc*cough

I agree. Best keyboards in the world were the old IBM ones that click when you pushed the key down. Alas, those days are gone.

What I really hate about that windows key is when I'm playing Diablo II and I press alt to see the items on the ground, sometimes I accidentally press the windows key and it takes me back to the desktop and I have to go back into the game. Very bad when there are monsters around.

What I really hate about keyboards is that some of them don't have home-key markers - the little bumps on the F and J keys. Fine for the 'hunt & peck' brigade, but not so fun for touch-typists. They give us those at work and expect us to churn out correspondence with no errors - DUH! Mine has blu-tak stuck on the home keys so I don't have to look at the keyboard before I start typing

I really like laptop keyboards - that's partly the reason I bought one instead of a PC. Along with the sharper screen and portability, of course

Always keep that utility shortcut on the desktop to customize the keyboard. When I play games I move the Windows key to the "back" button that I never use anyway. Oldie here as well, I use the alt-direction keys instead!

By remapping it , you can avoid that. Espacially when hitting alt to find loot on the ground in many games and boom, you switch to desktop...

Anyone here HATE these Windows Keyboards? you know, the ones with the 3 extra Windows 'hotkeys' near the ALT and CTRL keys?

I am still using an old (But I keep it clean--looks pretty new) Keyboard without those keys.. when I use the 'newer' models with the extra Windows keys, I always hit those when I mean to hit the ALT or CTRL keys. (This keyboard is from 1992)

I know the added keys have been around since 1995, but I hate them.. I will be 'upgrading' mine soon, but MAN.. it'll take some time getting used to it.

Do you guys outside of the USA also have these? I'm sure you do..

Leave it to Micro$oft to force KB makers to do what THEY want..

Maybe I'll rig a Mac KB... oh wait, it has an Apple key, nevermind.
I'm one of the lucky ones, I've grown up with it so it doesn't phase me - I still have trouble typing on those Natural Keyboards though.
