Mix a little exercise in. I find that a couple workouts a week increase my energy and decrease my sleep need. It also helps regulate your appetite and weight. Reduce carbs and increase lean protein and veggies. Take a multi-vitamin. Just don't overdo it or your sleep need will INCREASE! This is not as easy as it sounds, but it works.
M-F I work from 8-5 and have class from 5:30-9:30. I have 1 hour and 20 minutes total drive time. It makes for a long day. I throw in 4-5 moderate workouts a week. I listen to my body. If I'm real sore or tired I skip it. Even though the long days are irritating, I have plenty of energy.

yeah so did I, but sleeping less isnt going to help you if you fall asleep at the wheel of your car going 100kph on the motorway.

Good point. But still..going to bed at aronud 10pm and waking up at 7am, that's 9 hours sleep..and having lots of water is good (Just makes you go to the toilet alot; it goes straight through your system ). (I would't reccomend drinking any of those "energy" drinks. They have stuff in them which isn't good for you)

Eating heavily at lunchtime will make you sleepy in the afternoon. When you get up, have a healthy breakfast, then just a light lunch of fruit and yoghurt or a salad, and get some exercise at lunchtime. Your afternoons will be less drowsy!

I remember those hot days in school. It was pure torture!

My son now goes to the same Junior High School I went to, but they've put in central air conditioning. If the air goes out on a 90+ degree day, they send them home early. I'm very glad for him, but I can remember days on end at 90 degrees with nothing but an open window and a fan to push the hot air around class.

Of course, we also had to walk 4 miles in the snow uphill both ways to get to school and we were glad to do it! (No wait, that's my dad's story...lol)
