From what I've heard Western Digital is a good brand. I use maxtor drives myself I think, but then I never buy anything for my computer.

Seagate is pretty good as well I believe.

I would go for Seagate Barracuda drive i have had this on a 120 gig for 1,5 years now and no problems with it and it have 8 mb cache and wery silent.
I have had 5 Western digital hd's and they all have colapsed in a period of 1-2 years..!

Anyway, I don't plan on picking up another Western Digital. If this one's going dead after just one year I don't want it.
