Don't forget the pogo one! Where he jumps on the hilt and hops around on his sword like a pogo stick...damn funny to watch...and even funnier to knock him off.

I love Yoshimitus's voice and lines.
"I will assist you with your suicide!" "A raging fire becomes dying embers." "It is I YoshimitSU!" "HI YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

I hate slow characters in fighting games and that includes both Astaroth and Knightmare.

This is a bit Off-Topic - but it does address the main issue here (ie, which character is stronger).
One of my all time favorite "fighter games" was Street Fighter II. I pumped hundreds of quarters into that game (arcade version). Of all the characters, I would have to say Ryu was the strongest overall, but I played the game so much that I finally managed to beat Bison with every single character in the game. The point is that ALL the characters have different strengths and weaknesses, and it was just a matter of learning how to maximize their strengths against the various opponents. It also depends a lot on personal preference. Some people prefere faster opponents that strike more often, but do less damage with each hit. Others prefer the strong brute that can stand up to such attacks and deal enough damage to stun an opponent with one blow. I didn't get to play the arcade version of Soul Cleaver II very much, but Astorath was my favorite. My last couple of times, I tried a few other characters. I liked the guy that was patterned somewhat after the King Arthur Round Table Knight mold. He was quicker that Astorath but still dealt out good damage with his sword. I see a lot of "chest thumping" going on here (You wouldn't beat that character if I were playing them). So let me ask this, doesn't PS2 offer online multiplayer options? If so, why don't you all arrange an IW "tournament" to see who IS the best with their favorite character?
