Well, actually the toilet DOES need to come out so I can paint the wall behind it, and I'm too lazy to finish the project. Engineer that! At times I wonder about you Avatar(t) but stay in school so you can send me money when I get old

Yes, Eternity I did all that crap as well....so you wanna do Electrical and Electronic Engineering? Is there even such a course? They are two opposite ends of the "engineering spectrum". Electrical is dealing with macroscopic things like huge transformers and generators etc. while electronices is dealing with the microscopic things like transistors on ICs etc. You sure there is such a course that combines them? Never heard of it.

About that maths...I only get...err......well....err the thing is I only got a B in pure maths A level, but I did get an A in Physics and *cough* Chemistry, so if you need any help on these Nah seriously, my maths has improved as well since then

Don't knock Warwick! They gave me the hardest grades in their offer out of all the ones I applied to... not sure why... it is a bit of a crap Uni really. Good luck at London, although I know nothing about physics and engineering. I mostly did Stats and Pure in my A levels as now I am studying politics and economics. I got two As but frankly who won't when they are doing statistics.

Vaskez, wow! I'm doing Chem and Phys too! *grynz* but it's okkiez cuz those subjects take about 1 fith of the effort learning maths does for me ~poutz~ it was all ok up till P4... then suddenly P5 killed! But it's kewl cuz now I've gotten over it and I haven't gotten to the hard bits of P6 yet I guess... ohh..~sarky tone~ I can't wait! *worried*

I got A's in phys chem and bio for AS.. but I missed an A in pure by 1 mark! *sigh* it's cuz I crapped up P3 so badly! I got A's in P1&2 then I got a C in P3! But it's ok cuz these grades aren't banked am I'm gonna retake P3 *relieved* I should be ok on it now that I've done P5! I still remember when I thought P1 was hard! *chuckles* now it's just like please! I'll do 2 P1 papers so long as I don't have to do P5!

Barry, I'm not knocking Warwick *grynz* they gave me a 3C offer. That's why I'm saying if I crap up my A2's I'll go there *wry grin* I'd like to go to London though.. but isn't it a lot more expensive to live in London? The LEA's supposed to give you a bigger loan though isn't it?

arrrgghhhh forms!! *stressing out*

Avatar, sweetie you are so unbelievably biased *winkz* besides, you know that in order to go where ever you want you have to work hard... ahem.. 5 hrs on the phone in one go isn't exactly working hard... besides my parents might still make me tell St. Hilda's I want to go there *makes icky face* No way! OR they might make me take a gap year and reapply!

I'm not sure how the new AS level system works exactly as I was one of the last years to still do the old A level system (2nd to last year I think). In pure maths we only had P1-P4 as it was a single A level....I could have done a double Maths which would've been P1-P4 and M1-M4 (no thanks). Some people say the new AS level material is easier, especially in the first year, but the workload is more to compensate because of the number of subjects and exams.

Yeah I think that you get a bigger loan if you study in the London area.

BTW Eternity, do you and Avatar know each other in real life? I don't just mean over the phone, or are you just pissin about?

You can get a bigger loan but our maximum is not changed just because you're going London. This refers to student loans.

"pissing about"??! Is something bothering u Vas?
or do u just mean being silly?

I suppose Eternity u should answer this question as it is directed at u.

But yeah we do know each other in real life but we live slightly apart. Same solar system, if u understand. She lives on Jupiter and I live on Mars. But yeah! Regular X5 buslinks us. Takes about a few hours.. not too bad depending on traffic.

Vaskez, our families are really good friends from wayyyyyyyyy back *gglz* would you believe they even tried to matchmake us?! ~shock horror~ *gasp* ~wry grin~ We're seriously lucky to get along sooo amazingly *happy*

Newayz.. piss about? *Raises An Eyebrow* Me piss about? ~mock posh voice~ "You must have me mistaken my dear boy" ~winkz~

Mmm.. I was almost in Avatar's year cuz I skipped a year in London. But when I moved to Oxford they said I was too young and so I stayed behind to join my own year (so to speak) *makes a face* and my parents were too busy doing their PHD's to question anything... even though I was bored stiff *chuckles* oh well, the good ol'days *gglz* I had tons of fun just mucking around though!

AS Levels are easier for everything except for maths. Maths is maths and you can't make it harder or easier really. The learning curve is still really steep since GCSE is just a joke! I mean I went into GCSE's knowing no matter how badly I did in maths I'd still get an A*.

I think my friends said English is really hard... Biology was a total joke! It was just like GCSE. Phys and Chem were the level I'd expected although both exams asked questions that weren't really on our syllabus but we could work out from our present knowlage and common sense... in my school we're lucky as teachers always teach us more than we need to know (I go to Oxford High School GDST)

A2's are meant to be much harder. I'm not sure because they all said they'd set maths too difficult last year and apparently they're going to introduce A*s into these A2's *rollz eyes* these ridiculous new systems! I think they're trying to change everything too fast.

I really don't know about work load... I mean my school always set tons of homework but I think my friends across the road are getting normal amounts of homework. I think it all depends on which school you go to...
