Had to disable Memberlist-- it WAS making the forum slow.. I'll look into why it is doing that and try it again

I knew I should have read to the bottom of the thread before wondering why i cudnt find it.

Is that why we were down for temp. maintenence?

Ziroc, the forum is STILL unbelievably slow. I'm on a DSL and it's taking 45+ seconds just to get the page starting to load.

I've got a problem with the search function, btw. I tried a search on my name (because I am looking for the html and color teaching thread I created) and all I got was a tiny handful (about 7 or 8) or threads and only really recent ones. Then I tried searching on other words like HTML etc.. and man.. same thing.. tiny return and none of the ones I KNOW are out there.. I had to manually track down an old WELCOME thread to check text for my new one.. that took a LONG time.. LOL

Cloudy, also experiencing the slow to load problem even without the membership list on here (and I have cable)

This has been the quickest the forum has been for me since the upgrade - but I do access it when the forum is off-peak time.

A memberlist with numbers would be useful when searching for posts by a particular person (a troll, for example). Everyone here is superquick to let us know if there's a troll on the site [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img] but sometimes in their excitement they forget to post a link to the thread in question! [img]tongue.gif[/img]
